A database of names and addresses for any town for any age range can be purchased. It’s pennies for this database of information, and I update mine every year.
This age group has equity. They have lived in their homes for thirty+ years and most have no mortgages. We show them what they can have in an adult community; we get them acquainted with the convenience of a first floor master bedroom suite; first floor laundry; open floor plans with modern custom kitchens, granite counters and stainless appliances. We inform them that they will never have to shovel snow, mow a lawn or rake leaves again.
It’s a listing and a sale waiting to happen. The time is right and the time is now for real estate agents to market to baby boomers. You’ll find that most of them are ready to wind down and enjoy life. The children are grown and it’s time to enjoy life rather than maintain a home.
Active Adult Communities are the first step in the process of introducing a baby boomer to the thought of retiring. “Break the chains that bind you” is the goal of this age group, and downsizing to a more affordable, easy living life style will accomplish that. We market to seniors.
