Prospecting for new business and new leads is our mission every day. We never know who or what will surface each day, but we are determined to dig until we find something. There’s always a buried treasure waiting for the enthusiastic, energized and “totally driven” real estate agent to make a score.
Yes, it’s a “score” when a new lead is generated. That new lead should never be taken for granted, and one new lead can lead to many more. One new lead is never just one lead. It’s a starting point from which many businesses have grown; it’s the main root that continues to branch out; and it’s the beginning of a new race to the finish line each day.
Our business is not like any other. Each business owner has a race in which to compete, but in the real estate business we have many new races with each new lead. We are not the only competitor working with each lead. There are many, and unless we close that lead to work only with us, that race is over.
We need to prospect for business each day in order to stay in the race. Most leads are not great leads. Pick and choose the best, and “work it until it buys or dies!!”
